Alpa Agarwal is co-founder and CEO of TravelMyHeart™. In her role, she oversees all product management, product marketing, sales, business development, strategy, and other business functions.

Prior to TravelMyHeart™, Alpa was director of product management at Intuit, where she led a team of product managers in delivering marketing technology solutions, including marketing automation. She led the analyses of the market landscape, product requirements, vendor shortlisting, product roadmaps and solution delivery.

Prior to Intuit, Alpa was a partner at Digital DNA Infusion, a consulting firm which specializes in digital product management, marketing, and strategy. She worked with many marquee clients in the travel and tourism industry.

Prior to Digital DNA Infusion, Alpa was director of product management & marketing at eBay Inc. In her role, Alpa led the development from product vision and strategy, customer requirements, product roadmap, marketing planning, sales adoption, & customer support to the launch of the eBay Promotions Manager, an innovative sales promotions service which increased sales and average order size via cross-sell and up-sell. The application is currently successfully deployed on eBay. Alpa also led the launch and development of the eBay Shopping Cart, which is also currently successfully deployed on eBay. In her role, Alpa worked across engineering, product management, user experience research, user experience design, analytics, market research, financial modeling, marketing communications, sales and customer support.

Prior to eBay, Alpa worked with the engineering team at Microsoft’s MSN.com to release new social & community features, working with partners such as Facebook. Alpa also held marketing roles in Microsoft’s developer division working on multi-core computing and with startups in the Microsoft BizSpark program. Prior to that, Alpa led a global team at Microsoft to identify strategic market trends. She regularly advised Microsoft’s senior leadership team, including Bill Gates, resulting in new acquisitions, technology investments and strategic corporate shifts.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Alpa founded MarketingCafe.com, an online community for marketers. She also worked at Sprint where she built a successful new product pipeline.

Alpa has taught in various Executive MBA programs, has authored numerous articles and has been quoted in international business journals. She has an MBA from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Ankit Agarwal is co-founder and head of product and engineering at TravelMyHeart™. In his role, he oversees all product management and engineering functions.

Prior to TravelMyHeart™, Ankit was Vice President of Product at CloudWeaver Inc., formerly Lyatiss, which made SaaS software to manage and optimize cloud hosted applications and IaaS infrastructures. In this role, Ankit oversaw product management, user experience design, engineering and operations and built CloudWeaver’s engineering and operations teams worldwide. Additionally, Ankit led pre-sales, technical demonstrations, and acquired the first set of customers. Ankit also played a leading role in analyst briefings and partner development.

Prior to CloudWeaver™, Ankit was Associate Vice President of Engineering at OPNET Technologies, Inc., a Gartner Magic Quadrant leader in Application Performance Management and Network Performance Monitoring and Diagnostics. OPNET was acquired by Riverbed Technology in 2012. In this role, Ankit was responsible for OPNET’s automated solutions for Network Discovery, Security and Performance Auditing, and Documentation and Diagramming – Sentinel and NetMapper, now known as Riverbed SteelCentral™ NetAuditor. Ankit oversaw all aspects of product management, user experience design and engineering, and built the respective teams. Additionally, Ankit played a leading role in pre-sales and post-sales support, technical support, customer demonstrations, analyst briefings, and acquisitions.

Ankit has presented sessions on network management and cloud operations at various industry conferences. He holds several patents in the areas of computer networking and security, and cloud operations. He has a Masters in Computer Science degree from the University of Missouri.

Ramana Nanda is the Sarofim-Rock Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School, where he teaches Entrepreneurial Finance in the MBA program and in executive education offerings. His research examines financing frictions facing new ventures, with an aim to help entrepreneurs with fundraising and to shed light on how financial intermediaries, corporate R&D and policy makers can improve the odds of selecting and commercializing the most promising ideas and technologies.

Ramana is a Research Associate in the Productivity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program at the NBER.  He received his Ph.D. from MIT’s Sloan School of Management and has a BA and MA in Economics from Trinity College, Cambridge, U.K. He is a recipient of the 2015 Kauffman Prize Medal, that is awarded annually to one scholar under age 40 whose research has made a significant contribution to the literature in entrepreneurship.

Prior to starting his Ph.D., Ramana was based in the London and New York offices of Oliver, Wyman & Company, where he worked primarily with clients in global capital markets as well as in small-business banking.  He continues to advise startup ventures on their financing strategies and also works with philanthropic investors who use market-based solutions to address poverty and promote entrepreneurship in developing countries.
